The Tea Party on Saturday drew a crowd of over 1,000 people to the Pennsylvania Capitol in the middle of nowhere. Most are very angry about last Saturday's house vote to approve healthcare legislation. They are also upset about Cap and Trade, and the Socialistic leanings of the new administration. Patrick Murphy: The "Blue Dog" of Bucks County lays down and plays dead.

Congressman Patrick Murphy was one of the 220 votes for HR 3962, Pelosi's Healthcare Plan.  In spite of many protests at his office and clear opposition in the Eighth Congressional District, Murphy in the end still voted for the plan.  He will pay in 2010.  It is also notable that Murphy did not even have the courage to have a real townhall meeting.  He did everything via telephone conference calls.  Keep Reading here.

President Obama: Cold and Insincere

Tragically, now thirteen people are dead from the Terrorism that took place at Fort Hood yesterday. Do you think that the President of the United States could be a little more sincere and not have to read notes to show sympathy? The only time the President showed any emotion was when he talked himself and that was rude. He did nothing to console the American people. Read More

Target: Fox News

Fox News is now in the cross hairs of the White House.  Formerly, Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck had taken punches from the White House communications office but now the network is being cited.  In an article on Yahoo.com, White House Communications Director Anita Dunn has singled out Fox News as being anti-Barack Obama.  Dunn came out with these allegations on CNN, in Time Magazine, and in the New York Times.  Read More

Obama: A partisan Democrat

According to Rasmussen polling,   52% of Americans polled believe that Obama is governing like a partisan Democrat.  30% believe that Obama is governing as  bipartisan.  65% believe that Washington will be more partisan within the next year.

Although a President is elected by a partisan process, a President should govern by and have a non-partisan agenda.  In Obama's case though, he clearly governs from the left.  So does Congress.  According to a conference call with Congressman Joe Pitts, he said that Read More

Crack open ACORN!

James O' Keefe, a 25 year-old film maker, and his associate, Hannah Giles went undercover to two offices of ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now), a non-profit that helps low income individuals secure loans for housing.  O'Keefe posing as a Georgetown law student running for Congress and Giles, his prostitute girlfriend, told ACORN employees of their goals to secure a house to use as a brothel and bring in underage El Salvadorean girls as prostitutes. Then they would funnel the funds into the Congressional campaign.  ACORN workers were more than willing to help.  Read More

Cowardly Casey and the health care town hall

Last week I received two phone calls from Bob Casey's office inviting me to a town hall meeting.  One was in Lock haven and the other in Bloomsburg.  I live in Bucks County.

This morning I received an invitation via email asking me to come to a town hall meeting in East Stroudsburg to "show my support"  for the current legislation.  The invitation said to print the invite with you to "display" your support.  Which means they are vetting supporters of the legislation and turning away non supporters.

Question #5: Will taxpayer funding not go to abortion procedures or end of life counseling?

Question #5 is a two part question and plenty or research has to be done in order to understand the answer.  Taxpayer funding of abotrion procedures under current legislation, the Hyde Amendment, any taxpayer funding of abortion is prohibited through Medicaid and Medicare. The president has numerous times stated that taxpayer funding under the Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009 will not provide any taxpayer funding of abortion. Won't back down on healthcare (Slideshow)

A lot has been going on with the health care issue the last few weeks.  To say our country is at odds over it is an understatement.  I discussed the angry debate in a recent post, "Angry mobs, swastikas, and healthcare town hall meetings."     Congressman David Scott (D-GA) actually did get a swastika painted on the sign outside his office.  Read More

Question #2: Would the Congressional representative and his family opt in to the public program?

There has been talk lately that the public option may not be.  Well don't believe it, the White House and Congressional Democrats very much want a public option.  This will ensure that one day, they can move towards a single-payer healthcare system, Obama and his supporters ultimate goal. Read More
